Jason S. Bartell

Jason S. Bartell is an attorney, CPA, and founder of the Law Firm of Bartell Powell LLP. He primarily serves clients with high-growth business ventures, whether by mergers and acquisitions, corporate bankruptcies in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 settings, business formation, commercial litigation, taxation issues, franchising, and securities law issues including venture capital funding. His clients include small technology start-up companies to Fortune 500 companies.

In addition to being a lawyer, he has significant accounting, financial, and management experience. Mr. Bartell has a Masters in Business Administration and has passed the Certified Public Accountant exam. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Bartell lived on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and served as the financial officer of the technology company Online Living. During this time, he also performed consulting services for the accounting firm Ernst & Young. Mr. Bartell served as an attorney for President George W. Bush in the Florida recount in 2000.

Mr. Bartell practices out of the Champaign office and his primary areas of practice include Corporate Law, Tax Law, Securities Law, and Litigation.
